Hello {FIRSTNAME Friend},

I'm quite sure that most of you reading this already know
all about affiliate programs. They're a quick and easy way
to start earning an in.come on line. They're especially
useful for those of us who don't have a product of our own
to sell.

And I'm sure you're also aware that having your own product
to sell can earn you even more in.come. Whether you develop
your own or purchase the rights to someone else's, when you
sell it - you get to keep all of the ca.sh!

"But I can't make my own product, Mike. What's wrong with
you?"

Hogwash, I say!

Creating your own product that takes a little planning -
and some research - but you can certainly do it. Heck, I
did it.

By far and away, the best product to create is something
downloadable. That's nothing new . . . An ebook or a piece
of software.

A few months back, with the spotlight on popup stoppers, I
came across a different type of popup that got through the
blockers. It utilized dhtml technology. I found the script
at http://www.dynamicdrive.com. And it was fr.ee. I thought
about it for a while and decided that because Armand Morin
had just recently put out his PopOver Generator, that I
needed to put another twist on it.

I brainstormed a bit with Brian Garvin and the idea for
Lightning FlyOver was born.

I won't tell you we had a "finished product" in our head.
We had an idea of what features we wanted. So I set out to
get it built.

Problem I had though, was I didn't know any programmers.
Brian then told me about one of those sites where you post
a project and people bid for the job. I'd heard of Elance
before, but Brian recommended another site:

I opened an account (fr.ee) and put together a porduct
description. I posted it and within a day I had 5 bids.
But what really blew my mind was the bids ranged from $45.00
to $100.00! That's it!

I selected a programmer. A kid from England. After a few
email exchanges, he had a prototype finished in less than a
week. This is where the fun began.

I installed the prototype. I used it. Loved it. But I
immediately had a list of more features for it.

This went back and forth for a few days - more feature
requests from me, a quote from him.

When all was said and done, whatever features I asked for,
he was able to put in. The final cost for the programming:

$180.00

That's it. Amazing.

Have you read Cory Rudl's add for his SlideInAd maker where
he claims to have invested some $23,000 in it's development?
Either that's an exaggeration, or he got ripped. Bottom line
is, you can get almost ANYthing you want programmed to your
exact specifications at VERY reasonable prices.

The rest of the development was the interface (done by me),
the graphics (done so well by Vaughan Davidson of
http://www.killercovers.com) and the popup tips help
system (a fr.ee script put in place by me).

Then there was the testing, testing, testing.

Of course Brian wrote the web copy and the ads. I built
the site.

Total time: Concept to release was about two months, on a
part time basis (I still have a day job :-).

Total Cost: Script - $180.00, Graphics - $200.00, affiliate
program script - $49.00 Clickbank account - $49.00

Grand total: $478.00

So you see {FIRSTNAME Friend}, it doesn't take a huge sum
of mo.ney to take an idea from conception and planning to
market. The profits on this project were WELL worth the
investment. You just need to keep going.

I also discovered that I thoroughly enjoy the product
development phase of these projects. Brian and I are now
working on roughly 4 software projects in various stages
of completion.

Like I said earlier - If I can do this, ANYone can.
